Description

 This is a two-mile walking tour of a dramatic rock shelter site in a deep limestone canyon. The shelter contains 4,000 year-old Pecos River Style pictographs, among the oldest, most colorful, complex, and distinctive ancient paintings in all of the Americas. Fees $5 for Texas State Parks Pass members, $8 non-members and senior citizens with Bluebonnet Pass, free for children 8 and under.

Description

Diverse flora and fauna throughout the park include white-tailed deer, raccoons, armadillos, and squirrels. There is sparse vegetation, the terrain is rocky, and there are deep canyons.
