About Us

The Texas Wild Network has a simple mission: to help Texans understand, enjoy, and protect the state's natural resources. With lively articles, striking photos, interactive features, and a few multimedia surprises still to come, the site is much more than a simple information resource. Whether you live in the Panhandle or Brownsville or any place in between, the site is a meeting place, a bully pulpit, and a sounding board for nature lovers and outdoors enthusiasts.

Our primary areas of focus are nature, environmental issues, and green living. We cover serious topics, but we're just as serious about having fun in the great outdoors. Whether you're a kayaker, a rock climber, a hiker, a photographer, a camper, an environmental activist, or simply someone who enjoys watching the action at your backyard bird feeder, this site is for you.

The Texas Wild Network is based in Austin, Texas. If you have questions or comments, we welcome your feedback.
